MRATC Activities and Information, Week of March 3 – 9, 2024

 

MRATC TRAIL WORK:

ATC SOUTHERN PARTNERSHIP MEETING, March 8-10, 2024

Open to all club members, live or on Zoom. MRATC’s representatives are Gerry Davis and Frank White. This year it will be held at Hungry Mother State Park Conference Center. An agenda will be sent a few days before the meeting to those who register.. Participating is a great way to learn about topics all the AT clubs from VA to GA are interested in. VISITOR USE MANAGEMENT (VUM)

Next meeting of interested members of the club, the ATC, the MRNRA and GHSP will be Monday, March 11 at 1 p.m. on Zoom or live at the Trail Center.

KONNAROCK BASE CAMP CLEANUP

It’s that time of year – Konnarock Basecamp opening - March 18th to 20th.  We welcome the pleasure of your company for any amount of time you may have available. 

Major work this year includes installing new doors on several pods, repairing other doors, some painting, repairing plumbing in the kitchen & bathrooms as needed; and other sundry repairs. Also, there’s the usual general building cleanup, camping equipment and tool checks and repairs, etc. to be done.

As always, ATC will provide food and luxury lodging during your stay. 

Please RSVP via email (jkyle@appalachiantrail.org) with which days, or day, you plan to attend so that we may have proper food and supplies available.
